Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about installation, costs and servicing. Can't find what you're after? Just give us a call.

How much does air conditioning installation cost?
A single-room wall-mounted split system typically starts from around £1,200–£1,800 fully installed, depending on unit specification and pipe run length. Multi-split and commercial systems are priced individually after a free site survey. We always provide a fixed, itemised quote before any work begins.
How long does an installation take?
Most single or twin-room residential installations are completed within a single day. Larger multi-split homes or commercial fit-outs may take two to five days depending on the number of units and complexity of pipework, which we'll always confirm at quote stage.
Is air conditioning expensive to run?
Modern inverter-driven systems are far more efficient than older units, typically producing 3–4kW of cooling (or heating) per 1kW of electricity used. Actual running costs depend on room size, insulation and how the system is used, and we're happy to talk through realistic estimates for your property during your survey.
Can air conditioning units heat a room as well as cool it?
Yes — the vast majority of systems we install are reversible, meaning they provide efficient heating in winter as well as cooling in summer, often at a lower running cost than electric heaters or older gas boilers.
How often should my system be serviced?
We recommend an annual service for residential systems and twice-yearly servicing for commercial systems in regular use. Regular servicing protects efficiency, extends the life of the unit, and is often a condition of the manufacturer's warranty.
Do I need planning permission for an outdoor unit?
Most domestic outdoor units fall under permitted development and don't require planning permission, though rules can differ for listed buildings, conservation areas and flats. We'll flag anything relevant during your site survey and can point you to your local planning department if needed.
Which areas do you cover?
We're based in Wrexham and cover the town plus surrounding areas within roughly 45 miles, including Llangollen, Chirk, Ruabon, Mold, Oswestry, Chester and Shrewsbury. See our full coverage area for details, or give us a call if you're unsure.
Do you offer finance or payment plans?
Yes, we offer flexible payment options for larger residential and commercial installations. Ask about current options when you book your free survey.
What happens if something goes wrong after installation?
All installations come with a minimum 5-year parts & labour guarantee. If anything isn't right, get in touch and we'll get an engineer out to resolve it — most issues are diagnosed and fixed on the first visit.
